Denver center Nikola Jokic has been placed on NBA protocol for COVID-19 prevention and will not play against New York on Wednesday, ESPN reported.


Earlier, Jokic`s teammate Bones Highland was included in the protocol. Players will be able to return when they are cleared to play under current NBA rules. Players will be able to automatically exit the protocol after 10 days.


Jokic, a two-time reigning league MVP, is averaging 20. 8 points, 9. 5 rebounds and 8. 9 assists per game this season. He became the 10th player in the league by fixedsoccerpicks to be on the scoresheet this season.
